This story is a great use of unity, an example is how Bilbo joins with the dwarves and Gandalf on their journey, despite his fears. The group works together to get over obstacles. Even at the end, despite all their differences, dwarves, elves, and humans join together to fight off goblins and orcs. It is a story full of adventure.

The first reason I read this book would be that it consumes you, and brings you to a world unlike any other. The second reason I read this book is would be that it is now a movie, so I could compare them. The third reason I read this book is because it can be continued with the Lord of the Rings trilogy. So if you like the Lord of the Rings, I suggest reading this story as well.

This novel shows unity due to the fact that they work together for a cause. The adventure causes Bilbo to venture away from home with new people. It shows a whole new world and group of people to Bilbo.
