The lives of the youth in England are turned upside down when all of the adults in the world suddenly fall helpess to an unforgiving disease. All of the children younger than sixteen are left abandoned, many having watched their parents die. Dying adults were not the worst problem though, it's the ones that wouldn't die that create havoc. Readers follow groups of children who have to learn to live in a new world where zombies, or what they call "grown-ups" or "mothers and fathers", roam the streets, wanting only to eat children. Each child has their own story and their own reason to keep struggling to survive.
I've loved all of the books of The Enemy series that I have read so far. They're hard to put down as they're filled with luring action, heartbreaking anguish, and plenty of humor to make you laugh. Anyone who's into zombies, liked The Lord of The Flies, or just wants to try something new should definitely try reading The Enemy.
