Have you guys ever heard of the Eragon Saga? Or have you heard of the wonderful writer Christopher Paolini. No? Man, what a tough crowd. Anyway, if you finally realize that watching television every day is sickeningly monotonous then I suggest reading the Eragon Saga by Christopher Paolini. You may be asking, “Why should I read this book? Or, “Will this book give me an A+ on my math exam?” My answer is, no, it will not help you get an A+ on the math exam (unless you study math). You should read the story if you enjoy fantasy, swashbuckling dragon battles, and yes, romance!
What is this story about? Fine, I will tell you. This book is about a simpleton farm boy named Eragon who finds a blue stone, which is actually a dragon egg. When it hatches, he realizes that he needs to kill an evil king named Galbatorix who mandates the life of a whole nation. Did I mention that he has a dragon that is way bigger and stronger than Eragon’s Dragon Saphira? But do not fear, he gets an old mentor named Brom who repeatedly hits him with a stick and says that it will help him kill that jerk of a king. Okay, I am not telling the whole truth, and really, they are training with sword fighting to kill Galbatorix.
I think every person who enjoys being happy should read this book because it is a book with such dynamic characters, landscape, and back stories. Every single page has a whole new surprise around each corner. Christopher Paolini not only creates a beautiful world but he creates a huge array of personalities and cultures that will never be witnessed unless you read this book. So I am asking you this; are you cool, or are you lame?
